Kazzi Brings the Contemporary Best to Manly

Kazzi Beach Greek is a contemporary fusion of the Aegean with the casual freshness of North Steyne Beach in Manly, Sydney. It draws its inspiration from the Greek island of Kastellorizo (“Kazzi”). The Island’s Australian links are significant with many among Australia’s first Greek immigrants hailing from this secluded Hellenic hideaway.

Kazzi Beach Greek celebrates the most authentic Greek Island Taverna experience, showcasing the very kind of Mediterranean style offerings found along the blue shores of the Aegean.

Brought to life by the construction company, ICE Group Projects, from early engagement and guided through to construction and completion, Kazzi Beach Greek Manly is the first venue to offer outdoor dining, thanks to approval from Northern Beaches Council.

The site boasts picturesque views of Manly’s North Steyne Beach which sets the tone for the visual feast tucked inside its doors.

The opening of Kazzi Beach Greek in Manly took place on December 1, 2020, and was attended by Minister for Customer Service Victor Dominello MP, Member for Manly James Griffin MP and Northern Beaches Council Deputy Mayor Candy Bingham.

DESIGN AND APPEAL

"The first impression is the Last Impression" that's what we believe in while designing this project. We wanted our customers to feel relaxed and comfortable when they first enter the café. The selection of colours and designs had to be precise in order to capture the very essence of the Greek island of Kastellorizo (“Kazzi”).

We imported all the stonework flooring and furniture from Greece to make the café's environment more alike. Everyone who took part in this project ensured the delivery of work was completed with care and effectiveness to avoid any delays in the completion of the project.

Peter’s vision was to replicate traditional doors internally with the help of local artists using ageing techniques to create a true sense of period and history.

The result is a visually stunning hospitality destination that playfully references everything Kazzi Beach Greek and Manly’s North Steyne Beach have to offer, in a fit-out that will last the test of time.

The owner Peter Papas, a former investment banker, lived in London and New York before deciding to settle back in Sydney with his family. He said the following about our work for his projects:

“After successfully completing our first project Kazzi Beach Greek, Mosman - the second was our highly anticipated location in Manly, and I did not hesitate who I would award the project to, ICE Group Projects and the team did an "amazing job" for both our Construction Projects."

"ICE Group team worked around the clock and went that extra mile."

The floor and wall designs was the perfect reference to the cave residences and bars of the Aegean.
